Network and Systems Engineer III – IT Solutions Implementor

Role overview

Provide remote and field-based IT infrastructure support for projects operating in the United States and internationally. The role evaluates technical needs, implements network and cloud solutions, troubleshoots existing environments, and coordinates with project teams and central IT groups. Although the position is described as remote telework, it requires substantial worldwide travel and on-site support when needed.

Responsibilities

- Assess project requirements and recommend appropriate IT solutions in coordination with IT leadership. - Maintain servers and network infrastructure, and help cover staffing gaps across project sites. - Install, repair, test, and maintain infrastructure, including network cabling and internet connectivity. - Provision Azure virtual servers and applications, and deploy satellite or cellular internet services where required. - Diagnose technical problems and recommend resolutions; provide technical input for security assessments. - Document support activity and IT processes, brief stakeholders, and coordinate with project personnel and corporate technical teams.

Requirements

- U.S. citizenship and willingness and ability to obtain and maintain at least a DoD Secret clearance. - A bachelor’s degree in IT, computer information systems, or a related field; one year of relevant experience may substitute for each year of education. - Typically five years of IT experience, including experience with Azure Government Community Cloud High and commercial cloud environments. - Three years of remote program or field support outside the continental United States. - Current CCNA, MCSA, or MCSE certification, plus current Security+ certification. - Ability and willingness to travel worldwide at least 40% of the time, and strong written, spoken, analytical, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases, SharePoint, ASP.NET, Unix or Linux, VMware, and Meraki or Ubiquiti networks. - Customer service experience and confidence presenting technical recommendations.
