Automation QA Lead (Betting)

Role overview Lead quality engineering for software used in sports betting and lottery operations, with an emphasis on automated testing, AI-aware practices, and delivery through Agile and DevOps workflows. You’ll set quality standards, build automation into the development and release process, and help teams meet product, compliance, and delivery expectations. The role also includes coaching QA colleagues and communicating quality progress and risks to stakeholders.

Responsibilities - Define QA standards and processes that support Agile and DevOps, and help ensure regulatory and organizational requirements are met. - Set strategies for functional, integration, and performance testing; lead automation framework design and maintenance. - Integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines and track coverage, effectiveness, and quality measures. - Promote early testing practices, contribute to Agile ceremonies, and partner with development, product, operations, and DevOps teams. - Support test environments and infrastructure as code, and select suitable automation and manual testing tools. - Report test outcomes, risks, and recommendations; mentor QA team members and coordinate workload.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience leading QA, with a strong focus on test automation. - Ability to design and maintain automation frameworks and testing strategies across multiple test types. - Experience integrating tests into CI/CD and working within Agile and DevOps practices. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - The source also calls for familiarity with containerized, cloud-based test environments and names Docker and Kubernetes as examples.

Nice to have - Experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
