Role overview A staff-level Cloud Network Engineer position sits within a Network Operations team that keeps connectivity flowing across multiple data centers, cloud environments, and office networks running around the clock. The role focuses on building and maintaining network automation tooling, troubleshooting complex connectivity problems, and embedding security into current and next-generation platforms. It suits an engineer who thrives on automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement inside a dynamic, agile environment.
Responsibilities - Design and develop automation for configuring and managing data center, cloud, and office network infrastructure - Maintain Ansible playbooks and leverage network RESTful APIs to drive configuration at scale - Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across hybrid network environments - Implement security controls and best practices across existing and emerging platforms - Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and serve as an escalation point for critical incidents - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on projects and platform improvements
Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer - Advanced knowledge of AWS and cloud networking within hybrid environments - Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and protocols such as EVPN-VXLAN, LACP/MC-LAG, and virtual chassis - Intermediate scripting skills in at least one language, ideally Python - Intermediate experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet - Hands-on experience with JunOS, PanOS, ArubaOS, or IOS/NX-OS/ASA-OS - Familiarity with dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF), Layer 3/4/7 load balancing, and AI-assisted tooling such as Cursor or similar platforms
Nice to have - F5 LTM platform experience covering design, installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting - Container and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes - CI/CD exposure with Jenkins or CircleCI - Linux administration and broader SRE skills - Familiarity with Jira and Git for issue tracking and version control - Bachelor's degree in a related field
