Responsibilities

- Hire, onboard, coach, and develop Solutions Engineers through regular feedback, technical mentorship, and career planning. - Work with Sales leadership to allocate team coverage and prioritize technical support across the opportunity pipeline. - Participate in important discovery calls, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts to model effective practices and remove technical obstacles. - Create and continuously improve playbooks for discovery, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts. - Track team indicators such as proof-of-concept outcomes, demonstration conversion, and ramp progress, then communicate performance trends to leadership. - Bring recurring customer and field feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform roadmap decisions and represent the function in senior customer discussions.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of pre-sales experience in business intelligence or analytics software, such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture. - At least 2–3 years of leadership experience, including direct people management. - Strong SQL skills and practical familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, or dbt. - Experience leading technical discovery, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts with both technical and executive stakeholders at enterprise organizations. - A record of hiring, coaching, and developing technical talent. - Clear communication skills across technical, non-technical, and executive audiences, plus the initiative to operate effectively in a fast-moving growth environment.

Nice to have

- Experience with business intelligence or enterprise analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Mode, or Sisense.

Benefits and work setup

- Fully remote within the United States, with preference for Central or Eastern time zones. - Health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) plan for US-based roles; and unlimited paid time off.
