Role overview Join a fast-growing SaaS organisation that builds digital ordering, payment, and guest engagement solutions for restaurant brands. As a Senior Android engineer, you will help evolve a newly launched consumer app past its MVP stage, shaping the next generation of features while responding to a rapidly expanding user base. The position is fully remote within Northern Ireland and sits within a focused mobile team led by a dedicated Mobile Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and ship new features for the Android application following the post-MVP product roadmap. - Investigate and resolve bugs reported by the growing user community, using feedback to inform future improvements. - Contribute to feature roadmap planning sessions, helping prioritise work that delivers the most value to users and restaurant partners. - Provide technical input across both the iOS and Android codebases to keep architecture, patterns, and quality aligned. - Partner closely with the Mobile Engineering Manager and four experienced mobile engineers to maintain a high bar for performance and reliability.
Requirements - Senior-level experience building production Android applications with Kotlin. - Strong understanding of modern Android architecture, tooling, and release practices. - Demonstrated ability to take ownership of features end-to-end, from ideation through release. - Comfort working in a remote-first setup within Northern Ireland and collaborating across distributed teams. - Track record of debugging complex issues and responding to live production feedback.
Nice to have - Exposure to iOS development or willingness to influence cross-platform codebases. - Experience working on consumer-facing apps that handle transactions, payments, or personalisation. - Familiarity with hospitality, restaurant, or other guest-experience products.
