About this role
Role overview Join a mobile engineering team building a brand-new consumer app that supports digital ordering for restaurant brands. As an iOS engineer, you will contribute to post-MVP features, address bugs from a fast-growing user base, and provide input across both iOS and Android codebases. The position is fully remote within Northern Ireland, reporting to a dedicated mobile engineering manager and working alongside a small, experienced mobile team.
Responsibilities - Design and implement iOS features in Swift, taking work from concept through to delivery - Investigate and resolve bugs reported by the user base to keep the new app stable - Contribute to feature roadmap discussions and help shape direction across iOS and Android codebases - Participate actively in code reviews and maintain unit tests to uphold quality standards - Collaborate with product, design, and other stakeholders to refine requirements and ship aligned solutions - Assist in deploying and monitoring services in production, with on-call participation as part of the team rotation
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience - 2+ years of native mobile development experience - Working proficiency in native iOS development using Swift, including implementing moderately complex features and algorithms - Experience with version control (GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions - Comfort writing and maintaining unit tests - Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate technical details to product managers and stakeholders
Nice to have - Exposure to distributed systems concepts and resilience mechanisms - Interest in AI coding agents and AI-assisted IDE workflows as part of daily development
