Principal Product Manager - Simple Trading

Role overview

A senior individual contributor role focused on optimising and growing a simple trading product for retail customers across key European markets within a leading crypto exchange. The position acts as the regional product expert, translating local customer needs and competitive dynamics into intuitive product improvements that drive adoption, conversion, and retention.

Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end product optimisation for simple trading across major European markets, covering onboarding, fiat funding, first purchase, buy, sell, swap, portfolio management, savings and investments, and withdrawals. - Adapt product journeys to local payment methods, customer behaviours, market practices, and regulatory requirements. - Simplify order entry, quote presentation, pricing transparency, portfolio overview, average cost, P&L, transaction history, and asset discovery for first-time and low-frequency retail users. - Improve the local product funnel across acquisition, activation, first purchase, repeat purchase, retention, and reactivation, including features such as recurring buys, auto-invest, savings plans, price alerts, round-ups, and curated collections. - Benchmark leading European consumer products and translate competitive and customer insights into actionable improvements. - Partner with design, engineering, data, compliance, operations, marketing, and local market teams to deliver improvements, influencing priorities through insight and data.

Requirements

- At least 7 years of product management experience in consumer fintech, crypto, digital banking, brokerage, payments, savings, or investment products. - Hands-on experience building or optimising consumer products for European markets, with deep knowledge of European retail customers, payment behaviours, and market differences. - Demonstrated impact on onboarding, activation, conversion, repeat usage, retention, or assets under management. - Strong grasp of consumer product design, growth, experimentation, and lifecycle engagement, including fiat on and off-ramps, spot buy and sell, custody, wallets, and spreads. - Excellent product judgement, structured thinking, written communication, and stakeholder management, with fluent English and comfort working remotely across European time zones.

Nice to have

- Direct simple trading, retail product, UX, or growth experience at European neobanks or neobrokerages such as Revolut, Monzo, N26, Bitpanda, Bitvavo, or Trade Republic. - Experience with SEPA, Instant SEPA, cards, and other major European payment methods, including recurring investment, auto-invest, crypto bundles, portfolio analytics, round-ups, or saveback features. - Knowledge of an additional European language.
