Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Platform

Role overview

Build software services that provision and manage cloud infrastructure for accelerated computing. Work with engineering, architecture, and product partners on end-to-end systems for complex, multi-tenant deployments, and own software through development, testing, and production.

Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable services for managing cloud infrastructure, including network and systems automation. - Collaborate with internal partners to deliver solutions aligned with a broader platform architecture. - Develop maintainable APIs and reliable software for complex infrastructure operations. - Contribute to open-source communities around software used or developed by the team. - Present roadmaps, technical direction, and demonstrations to internal stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

- 12 or more years of experience designing and building distributed software systems. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Proficiency in a systems programming language such as C, C++, Go, or Rust. - Experience designing APIs and working with asynchronous programming, type safety, threading, state machines, and data structures. - Familiarity with SQL or similar data persistence and secure communication protocols such as mutual TLS or IPsec.

Nice to have

- Experience with hyperscale cloud services, networking protocols, host management or security systems, Kubernetes, or distributed task scheduling. - Knowledge of site reliability practices, including observability, service-level objectives, and logging.

Benefits and work setup

- Eligible for equity and benefits. The stated US base salary ranges are $224,000–$356,500 for Level 5 and $272,000–$431,250 for Level 6; actual pay depends on location, experience, and other job-related factors.
