(1599) Senior AI Agentic Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview Join a fully remote engineering team supporting a US-based client on enterprise AI initiatives. The role centers on architecting secure agentic systems that integrate large language models with proprietary data and internal tools through protocol-based connectors, while mentoring peers and shaping technical direction across teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and build secure enterprise web applications using React, TypeScript, Python, and supporting API services. - Construct agentic workflows and Model Context Protocol integrations that bind AI components to enterprise data sources and tool ecosystems. - Implement structured outputs, workflow state management, human-in-the-loop approval gates, and error recovery mechanisms. - Build authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and comprehensive audit logging for regulated use cases. - Establish AI evaluation pipelines, guardrails, tracing, and observability covering quality, safety, performance, and cost signals. - Collaborate with domain experts and product managers to translate business requirements into scalable, reusable technical solutions. - Produce configuration-driven components other engineering teams can adopt, and own production code quality through tests and documentation. - Mentor engineers and contribute to technical interviewing efforts across accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM discipline. - At least five years of professional software development, including five years with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or comparable languages. - Strong proficiency in React, API development, application architecture, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines. - Hands-on experience shipping AI-assisted applications, agentic workflows, or tool-calling solutions. - Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol, structured outputs, and context management. - Practical experience with authentication, authorization, RBAC, and secure coding practices. - Full lifecycle ownership, spanning requirements gathering, architecture, deployment, and production support. - Advanced written and spoken English for daily collaboration with US-based stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Background with Databricks, Unity Catalog, or data lake architectures. - Experience with GitLab CI/CD, policy-as-code, or infrastructure-as-code tooling. - Exposure to data marketplaces, governance platforms, or internal developer platforms. - Familiarity with privacy, security, and AI governance controls in regulated environments.
Benefits and work setup
- 100% remote position with optional access to coworking spaces across LATAM. - Competitive USD-based salary. - Paid time off aligned to local country regulations plus national holidays. - Sick leave and an annual perk credit for work-life balance initiatives. - Birthday week off, plus team-building activities, tech talks, and community gatherings. - Outcome-driven culture emphasizing autonomy, open communication, and flexibility.
