Role overview A remote role for an experienced AEM Frontend Developer focused on designing and building dynamic, high-performance user interfaces within the Adobe Experience Manager ecosystem. The position bridges design and technical implementation by translating UI/UX wireframes into modular, reusable AEM components using modern frontend tooling. The work is delivered in an Agile environment for US-based clients.
Responsibilities - Design and implement customized frontend solutions within AEM, upholding performance and quality standards - Develop, maintain, and enhance AEM-based websites and components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTL (Sightly) - Partner with backend developers to integrate frontend templates with Sling Models and OSGi services - Lead troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of frontend issues across AEM environments - Conduct code reviews and enforce frontend coding standards and AEM best practices - Collaborate with UX/Design teams to ensure pixel-accurate, accessible, performant implementations - Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and AEM package management workflows - Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - 5+ years of frontend software development experience - 2+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x and/or AEM as a Cloud Service) - Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within the AEM CMS platform, plus SASS, LESS, or similar CSS frameworks - Experience developing AEM components using HTL (Sightly) and integrating with backend Sling Models - Familiarity with AEM content authoring tools, editable templates, component dialog configuration, and Clientlibs - Experience with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and frontend performance optimization - Familiarity with Maven-based build pipelines, AEM package management, and Agile/Scrum delivery - Track record of delivering performant, accessible sites with strong Web Vitals and accessibility scores - Active use of AI coding tools as part of the daily development workflow - Advanced English, required for collaborating with US clients
