Head of Product

Role overview

Own product quality as a disciplined part of product development for a growing two-sided marketplace. This role combines senior QA judgment with product ownership: you will define what “done” means, validate the workflows where trust and money are involved, manage defects, make release decisions, and increasingly shape priorities and the backlog.

Responsibilities

- Write acceptance criteria and identify edge cases before engineering work begins. - Test critical workflows involving campaigns, matching, delivery, revisions, and payments across both user groups. - Reproduce and prioritize bugs according to real user impact, keeping the fix queue accurate and actionable. - Own release readiness, including checklists and regression coverage that make launch decisions predictable. - Partner with design and engineering to turn customer friction and recurring issues into clear specifications and priorities.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of experience in QA, product ownership, or a closely related hybrid role. - Senior judgment developed either by moving from defect finding into product decisions or by maintaining strong testing discipline as a product owner. - A systematic approach to states, permissions, currencies, failure conditions, and network interruptions. - Clear written communication for specifications, acceptance criteria, and bug reports. - Fluency in English for the working environment.

Nice to have

- Experience with marketplaces, payments, or other two-sided products. - Hands-on test automation experience or enough SQL knowledge to investigate questions independently. - Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
