About this role
Role overview A customer onboarding and solutions engineering role focused on higher education clients adopting a suite of enrollment and engagement products. Rather than owning a portfolio of accounts, the engineer works a case-assignment model, running focused sprints to launch new customers, optimize existing implementations, and serve as a deep technical escalation point. Success is measured by how quickly customers reach meaningful value from the platform.
Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end onboarding for new customers, from handoff through technical setup and go-live, coordinating with implementation support teams to meet customer requirements. - Partner with account managers to clear obstacles that could delay launch, acting as the customer's advocate throughout the process. - Deliver ongoing product training sessions and live demonstrations tailored to specific partner use cases. - Resolve individualized product and integration questions, including complex or non-standard scenarios. - Manage annual re-setup cycles when customers expand or revise their use of the platform. - Stay current on product updates and relay customer feedback to internal product teams to inform improvements.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree. - At least three years in customer success, onboarding, implementation, or a related role. - Working knowledge of Salesforce and Zendesk. - Background in higher education, with K-12 experience considered a plus. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric, trust-building approach. - Demonstrated ability to analyze data, ask the right questions, and synthesize complex problems to drive stakeholder decisions.
Nice to have - Experience navigating partner organizations efficiently by understanding varied customer roles and decision-making structures. - A self-directed working style with consistent follow-through on deadlines.
