About this role
Role overview A consumer technology company focused on active-play family products is hiring an IT Operations Specialist to run day-to-day IT at its San Jose headquarters, with remote support extending to a Hong Kong office. The role owns device lifecycle, workspace networking, and access provisioning, partnering closely with the Information Security team to keep a hybrid workforce productive and secure. It is an execution-heavy operations role with room to grow into strategy over time.
Responsibilities - Own the corporate device fleet from procurement through provisioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, resets, and redeployment - Administer access provisioning and security for less-sensitive systems, including admin lists and standard user access - Maintain endpoint security tools such as anti-virus and EDR, and help coordinate with InfoSec on policy - Run the San Jose office networking, server room, and videoconferencing infrastructure, and provide remote support for the Hong Kong office - Triage employee helpdesk tickets quickly and keep shared internal systems maintained for cross-functional use - Support business application procurement, contract negotiation, vendor coordination, and employee security training rollouts
Requirements - 2-5 years in IT support, IT operations, or systems administration - Hands-on experience with an MDM platform such as Jamf or Intune - Working knowledge of Google Workspace admin and similar productivity suites - Familiarity with Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, and videoconferencing systems such as Zoom Rooms - Experience with endpoint security tools and basic access-control administration including 2FA - Strong troubleshooting skills and a service-oriented approach to internal IT support - Comfort working independently while collaborating across U.S., European, and Hong Kong time zones
Nice to have - Exposure to MDM or MAID tooling strategy, or Google Workspace planning, balancing security with operational efficiency - Familiarity with access provisioning for more sensitive systems, including contributing to MFA or 2FA policy - Background in business application procurement, contract negotiation, or vendor management - Ownership of shared infrastructure such as cloud systems or data lakes, or customer-facing systems like e-commerce or corporate websites - Experience supporting hybrid or multi-office environments, ideally in consumer tech, gaming, or hardware
