Role overview A senior platform engineering role focused on building and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure that powers application deployment at scale. The position centers on AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code, supporting hybrid environments that span on-premises infrastructure and the cloud. It is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity with mentoring and project lead responsibilities.
Responsibilities - Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines and automation modules that deploy applications across target platforms. - Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, applying best practices for reliability and reuse. - Design Kubernetes-based solutions and controllers that automatically detect and remediate issues inside container clusters. - Operate and support Amazon EKS environments, including integration with on-premises infrastructure and multi-cluster management. - Implement monitoring, observability, and centralized logging solutions across hybrid cloud workloads. - Mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and drive medium to large-scale technical projects.
Requirements - 5–7 years of experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or a closely related field. - Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Amazon EKS, and Kubernetes administration. - Proven track record with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code patterns. - Practical experience implementing GitOps workflows and CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions. - Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or PowerShell, plus solid Linux troubleshooting abilities. - Understanding of cloud security, access control, and hybrid cloud compliance requirements.
Nice to have - Experience with Talos Linux, Rancher, Fleet, Argo CD, or service mesh technologies. - Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK Stack. - Background in cloud cost optimization and disaster recovery planning for hybrid infrastructure. - Required certifications: AWS Certified Developer and AWS Certified Technician; preferred certifications include AWS Solutions Architect, CKA, CKAD, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, and LFCS.
