Senior AI Product Owner

Role overview

A senior AI product owner is needed to bridge stakeholder strategy and Agile delivery for AI-enabled features across digital applications and support platforms. The role owns backlog prioritization, translates strategic vision into actionable user stories, and ensures delivery respects privacy, security, transparency, and responsible AI guardrails.

Responsibilities

- Partner with stakeholders to define strategic objectives, user needs, outcomes, and success measures for AI-enabled digital experiences. - Translate product strategy into roadmaps, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items. - Own and continuously refine the product backlog in Jira, balancing value, impact, risk, dependencies, capacity, and feasibility. - Provide clear direction and decisions to Agile teams across discovery, planning, delivery, validation, release, and optimization. - Lead or actively participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily coordination, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning. - Embed privacy, security, transparency, human oversight, and responsible AI guardrails into requirements and delivery decisions. - Define testable acceptance criteria and validate increments against functional, quality, usability, and guardrail requirements. - Maintain traceable product documentation covering decisions, assumptions, dependencies, risks, requirements, and release notes. - Monitor progress, resolve ambiguity, communicate tradeoffs, and escalate risks as needed. - Gather feedback and performance data to recommend backlog and roadmap adjustments, while supporting adoption activities.

Requirements

- Ten or more years in product ownership, product management, business analysis, or Agile delivery, including senior-level responsibilities. - Advanced proficiency with Jira for backlog management, epics, user stories, workflows, and progress tracking. - Demonstrated experience delivering AI features in digital applications or platforms. - Experience collaborating with digital support platforms and cross-functional technology teams. - Working knowledge of privacy and responsible AI guardrails applied through product requirements. - Strong written, verbal, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to read, analyze, and develop complex business and technical documentation.
