Senior Data Analyst

Role overview A senior analytics role focused on the foundational ingestion tier of a healthcare-oriented data lake built on a medallion architecture. The position bridges raw third-party data sources and downstream engineering or analytics consumers, ensuring that incoming records are mapped, normalized, and quality-checked before wider use. The work is detailed, compliance-aware, and sits inside a data-driven, clinical-services environment.

Responsibilities - Document source-to-target data mappings that bring raw records into the bronze layer of the data lake. - Approach complex mapping problems with creative, solution-oriented analysis and clear written lineage documentation. - Establish and monitor automated data quality checks that surface anomalies, missing values, and schema drift during ingestion. - Diagnose ingestion failures and implement durable fixes across pipelines and source connectors. - Build dashboards that surface the ongoing health of bronze-layer datasets for engineering and analytics stakeholders. - Promote operational excellence, documentation hygiene, and continuous improvement within the data operations function.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in information technology, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Four or more years working as a data analyst or in a comparable analytics role. - Strong SQL skills and comfort manipulating raw data formats at scale. - Hands-on experience with large datasets in a data lake environment and familiarity with ETL or ELT patterns. - Working knowledge of data modeling concepts and data quality management or testing frameworks. - Healthcare data experience is strongly preferred, plus clear communication with both technical and non-technical partners.

Nice to have - Proficiency with Scala, Databricks, and modern data architecture patterns. - Exposure to big data tooling such as Spark and Delta Lake, plus data governance principles. - Background inside a data-driven organization that ships platform-style analytics internally.
