Senior Staff Data Scientist

Role overview As a Senior Staff Data Scientist, you’ll shape product and growth decisions by building a clear, end-to-end view of how users discover, adopt, engage with, pay for, and continue using a software product. You’ll work autonomously with product, engineering, and growth leaders to turn behavioral data into testable ideas, evidence, and investment recommendations.

Responsibilities - Analyze product-led growth across activation, engagement, conversion, monetization, and retention; proactively identify opportunities. - Partner with product and engineering leaders to frame product bets, define measurement plans, and interpret results. - Lead experiments from hypothesis and study design through analysis, guardrails, and recommendations. - Build reusable analytical foundations, including trusted metrics, semantic models, monitoring, and automated ways to surface insights. - Improve event instrumentation, measurement coverage, and metric definitions with data and product engineering teams. - Use AI to speed up investigation and automate recurring analysis while applying judgment to validate conclusions.

Requirements - 8+ years of product analytics experience. - Ability to analyze SaaS product activation, conversion, or retention and connect findings to customer and business outcomes. - Experience owning experiments from initial hypothesis through a product decision. - Strong SQL and Python skills, with sound statistical judgment. - Ability to influence product strategy and investment priorities through clear evidence and recommendations. - Comfortable working autonomously and partnering across product, engineering, and growth.
