Systems Engineer

Role overview

A customer-facing Systems Engineer role focused on guiding enterprise and IT clients through the adoption of wired and wireless networking solutions. The position blends pre-sales consultation with post-sales deployment support, acting as a trusted technical advisor while channeling customer feedback back into product strategy. The work spans solution architecture, hands-on enablement, and cross-functional collaboration across sales, support, and product teams.

Responsibilities

- Partner with account teams to deliver pre-sales technical consultation, tailored solution design, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts for mid-market and enterprise customers. - Architect and support enterprise-grade Wi-Fi, switching, routing, security, and cloud-managed networking deployments. - Present technical content to varied audiences, including IT stakeholders, channel partners, and internal teams. - Bridge customers and the Support organization, facilitating smooth post-sales transitions, managing escalations, and ensuring consistent experience. - Gather, analyze, and articulate technical feedback and feature requests to Product Management so customer needs shape future releases. - Design secure environments using Zero Trust principles, including user and device segmentation, role-based access, and secure onboarding. - Promote cloud-managed platforms offering multi-site scalability, zero-touch provisioning, real-time alerts, firmware lifecycle management, and network analytics. - Conduct RF planning and network design using tools such as Ekahau or comparable solutions. - Enable channel partners (MSPs, VARs, distributors) through technical training, solution guidance, and joint customer engagements. - Maintain current knowledge of competitive products, market trends, and the evolving enterprise IT landscape.

Requirements

- 5+ years in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or a comparable technical customer-facing role. - Expertise in Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 wireless technologies; Layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, routing, QoS; and enterprise security practices. - Hands-on experience with cloud-managed networking platforms and Zero Trust concepts such as identity-based access and micro-segmentation. - Strong troubleshooting and solution development skills across wired and wireless networks. - Experience using RF design tools such as Ekahau or Hamina. - Familiarity supporting or working alongside channel partners, MSPs, and mid-market enterprise customers. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences. - Comfort operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

- Industry certifications such as CWNA, CCNA, or CCNP, or equivalent.
