Senior Web Engineer

Role overview

Build and improve high-traffic consumer web experiences, with a focus on frontend performance, accessibility, and search visibility. The role combines hands-on web development with work on APIs and machine-learning integrations, while helping shape platform architecture and engineering practices.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain consumer-facing pages and tools used by content and marketing teams. - Improve Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, usability, accessibility, and observability. - Partner with product, growth, and data teams to run experiments and measure results. - Contribute to backend APIs and integrate machine-learning capabilities into user experiences. - Guide technical decisions, review code, mentor engineers, and support reliable production operations.

Requirements - At least five years of software engineering experience, including client-focused full-stack development. - Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Strong skills in JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web development. - Experience with contemporary frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Astro, Nuxt, or similar tools. - Knowledge of web performance, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, usability, and accessibility. - Experience operating production applications, observability, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.
