Senior Solutions Engineer- Rome

Role overview A senior pre-sales position based in Rome focuses on guiding enterprise customers through the adoption of a leading graph database and AI platform. The role sits within the Solutions Engineering organization and partners closely with account executives to translate customer challenges into architectures that use graph technology for knowledge graphs, fraud detection, customer 360, asset intelligence, and emerging GenAI or agentic AI workloads. The work spans discovery, solution design, proof-of-value, and long-term adoption across strategic accounts.

Responsibilities - Act as a central technical lead across the full customer lifecycle, from early discovery and architecture design through proof-of-value and ongoing adoption. - Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic and enterprise customer teams across multiple verticals. - Partner with account executives to communicate both the technical and business impact of graph-based solutions. - Provide architectural recommendations aligned with customer strategy and existing IT landscapes. - Design and present prototypes that demonstrate technical feasibility and measurable business value. - Run demonstrations, whiteboard solution designs, and engage technical decision-makers throughout the sales cycle.

Requirements - At least 5 years in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or professional services, ideally with enterprise customers in high-tech, energy, telecom, financial services, or public sector. - Strong understanding of database platforms, particularly NoSQL. - Ability to translate business requirements into effective solution architectures. - Familiarity with a programming or scripting language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. - Proven experience guiding technical teams through complex consultative engagements. - Comfort managing the technical side of enterprise sales cycles and leading technical workshops or small-group sessions.
