A remote Test Automation Engineer position based in Romania, embedded within an engineering department that delivers IT services across the Eastern Europe service region. The role supports software quality assurance by designing, building, and maintaining automated test coverage across engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts and frameworks aligned with project quality goals - Integrate automated testing into existing development and delivery workflows - Execute test runs, analyze results, and report on software quality metrics and defect trends - Identify, document, and track issues surfaced through automated test runs - Maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve existing test infrastructure and tooling - Partner with engineers, QA staff, and other stakeholders to expand test coverage
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working as a Test Automation Engineer in software or IT environments - Solid understanding of software development practices, QA principles, and defect lifecycles - Ability to work independently in a remote-first arrangement from Romania - Background in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline preferred
