QA Automation Engineer – API & Performance Testing

Role overview

This is a remote engineering position based in Poland, focused on quality assurance automation with an emphasis on API testing and performance testing. The role sits within an engineering team serving the Eastern Europe service region and contributes to the reliability and scalability of software systems through automated checks and load-oriented validation.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites targeting API endpoints and backend services. - Develop and run performance and load testing scenarios to assess behavior under stress, concurrency, and sustained usage. - Integrate automated and performance checks into engineering workflows and delivery pipelines. - Identify, document, and track defects surfaced through automated or performance runs, and partner with developers on resolution. - Contribute to the team's overall QA strategy, tooling choices, and continuous improvement of testing practices.

Requirements

- Practical experience with API testing automation, including REST or similar interface validation. - Working knowledge of performance testing concepts such as load, stress, and endurance testing. - Familiarity with general software development and quality assurance methodologies. - Comfort working independently in a fully remote setup based in Poland. - Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills for collaborating across an engineering team.
