About this role
Role overview Build and ship AI agents that help communications professionals understand media coverage and complete multi-step work. You’ll take features from early design through production, working across an agent runtime, application interfaces, APIs, and an external tool server while helping shape the platform as it grows.
Responsibilities - Develop agent tools, prompts, safeguards, memory, and multi-turn workflows, including decisions about when an agent should act, ask for input, or hand work to a person. - Build the customer-facing experience, including chat, streamed responses, permission-aware APIs, and an MCP server. - Create evaluation methods to catch regressions and use production feedback to improve quality, response time, and cost. - Contribute to decisions about how agents are built, deployed, and operated as the platform develops.
Requirements - At least seven years of experience building production software. - Strong Python skills, including asynchronous programming, and experience with a framework such as FastAPI, FastMCP, or Django. - Experience delivering LLM-powered features or agents to customers, including exposing tools through MCP. - Practical knowledge of prompting, tool use, context management, and common model failure modes. - Experience measuring AI quality and applying results to improve a product. - Strong API and tool design, including authentication and authorization. - Regular use of AI tools to support day-to-day software development. - Availability for working-hour overlap with US time zones; Eastern time is preferred.
Nice to have - Experience with agent frameworks such as Pydantic AI, LangGraph, or the OpenAI Agents SDK; AI evaluation approaches such as DeepEval or LLM-as-judge; and LLM observability. - Familiarity with streaming interfaces, server-sent events, or Vue.js. - Knowledge of AI security, including prompt-injection defenses and tenant isolation.
Benefits and work setup - The team is distributed, with location-dependent hiring and benefits. The role may involve up to 10% travel for team, customer, or company events, including an expected annual team gathering. - Listed annual salary ranges are €95,000–€110,000 in Ireland and £105,000–£115,000 in the UK; the listed Bulgaria salary starts at €6,500 gross per month. Compensation depends on experience and location.
