Staff Solutions Engineer

Role overview

A senior solutions engineering role focused on growing adoption of a privacy-focused enterprise browser platform across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The position is highly customer-facing and centers on helping large enterprise customers evaluate, validate, and roll out the browser in secure, regulated, and complex IT environments. It blends pre-sales technical engagement with architecture guidance that extends into post-sales deployment support.

Responsibilities

- Partner with sales counterparts to support strategic enterprise opportunities across the DACH territory, acting as the primary technical voice during the buying cycle - Lead technical discovery and solution design, including stakeholder workshops spanning security, infrastructure, identity and access management, endpoint management, and workplace technology teams - Help customers evaluate the platform across deployment, policy management, identity integration, logging, security controls, and operational fit, while advising on deployment models and integration approaches - Design and run pilots, proofs of concept, and rollout plans, validating interoperability with SSO, MFA, SIEM, proxy and network controls, endpoint tooling, certificates/PKI, and browser policy frameworks - Identify and resolve technical risks early, including application compatibility, certificate handling, deployment complexity, and policy enforcement requirements - Produce reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, deployment guidance, validation plans, and enablement material, and support partners involved in deployment and customer success

Requirements

- At least 7 years in a senior Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Security Architect, or Technical Account Manager role - Deep familiarity with the DACH IT landscape, ideally within the public sector, financial services, or critical infrastructure operators - Strong background in enterprise security, endpoint management, browser security, Zero Trust, IAM, or digital workplace infrastructure - Hands-on experience with Windows enterprise deployment, GPO and MDM policy management, certificates/PKI/TLS, proxies, SSO/MFA/IdP integrations, SIEM/DLP/CASB ecosystems, and Kubernetes with Helm - Native-level fluency in German plus strong written and verbal communication skills in English - Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into technical configurations and to engage credibly with both technical teams and senior customer stakeholders
