About this role
Role overview
A product-focused iOS engineer role centred on evolving a large-scale native mobile app used by millions for everyday banking tasks. The work spans personal banking products and customer support tools within small, autonomous, cross-functional squads, blending polished UX craft with resilient, well-tested Swift code.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Hands-on experience programming in Swift and shipping at least one app to the App Store - Strong product mindset focused on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions - Ability to translate high-quality design into polished, user-centred interfaces - Comfort working in teams that navigate ambiguity and balance delivery speed with code resilience - Solid grasp of computer science principles underlying mobile development
Nice to have
- Experience with SwiftUI, the Composable Architecture, MVVM, or Coordinator-based navigation patterns - Familiarity with Alamofire, Sentry, or micro-service-aligned networking layers - Backgrounds spanning startups, large companies, or non-traditional paths such as non-Computer-Science degrees - Interest in open-source contribution and knowledge sharing
Benefits and work setup
- Base salary range of £78,000–£110,000 plus stock options, with a latest MacBook Pro provided - UK-based remote or hybrid working with ad hoc London office meet-ups; relocation and visa sponsorship supported for UK-based roles only - Flexible hours anchored around core meeting windows, with autonomy to manage one's own schedule - Annual £1,000 learning budget for books, training, and conferences - Interview process typically 2–3 weeks, designed to accommodate applicant availability and reasonable adjustments
