Role overview Step into a senior design leadership role at a digital bank focused on making money work for everyone. You will direct Product Design across Payments, one of the most important and fast-evolving multi-market business areas, partnering closely with senior Product and Engineering leaders. The position blends strategy setting, team growth, and craft elevation, with significant influence on product direction and the broader customer experience.
Responsibilities - Set the strategic direction and design vision for the Payments area, inspiring teams to think boldly while aligning with company goals - Partner with area leadership to define priorities, shape roadmaps, and translate strategy into impactful execution - Build and grow a high-performing design team, investing in individual development, wellbeing, and long-term success - Maintain an exceptional quality bar across all design work through clear feedback and coaching - Foster an environment where feedback is open, craft is celebrated, and design quality keeps evolving - Champion design influence across product and culture throughout the organization
Requirements - Proven experience leading design strategy and vision across complex product areas, navigating ambiguity to deliver customer and business impact - Comfort operating at multiple altitudes, from long-term direction setting to high-quality execution - Strong partnership skills across Product, Engineering, Research, and Commercial, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders through clarity, insight, and craft - A clear point of view on product design and a track record of raising the bar for quality, systems thinking, and customer experience - History of building and leading high-performing design teams where people grow and deliver exceptional work - Experience scaling design influence beyond an immediate team, shaping product direction, ways of working, and culture
