Job details
About this role
Role overview
Lead the development of internal products that help teams manage risk and controls as the organisation grows. You’ll combine product leadership with hands-on prototyping, working across risk, product, data, operations and engineering to replace manual processes with usable tools and automated workflows. The role also guides two specialists focused on data and automation as a new team establishes its ways of working.
Responsibilities
- Set the roadmap and backlog for products supporting issues, risk assessments, controls, policy and regulatory traceability. - Turn control problems into working prototypes, low-code tools, integrations and automated processes; partner with engineering to scale solutions where needed. - Explore AI-assisted workflows, including language models and agents, to reduce manual evidence gathering and other repetitive risk work. - Develop data triggers and monitoring that surface changing risks between scheduled assessments. - Help risk owners adopt tools through clear guidance, practical workflows and self-service support. - Coordinate delivery with the two data and automation specialists, maintain stakeholder engagement and address blockers.
Requirements
- Product management experience, with the ability to identify user problems, weigh value against effort and deliver iteratively. - Understanding of risk and controls sufficient to translate control needs into effective products and processes. - Ability to prototype and build workflows directly, as well as work with data and integrations. - Comfort working through ambiguity, using first principles and adapting plans in a fast-moving environment. - Readiness to take an MVP approach and improve solutions through iteration. - Experience guiding delivery across a small team and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
Benefits and work setup
- UK-based role, with London or Cardiff options and remote work available across the UK; occasional London meetings may be required. - Salary of £85,000–£115,000, plus performance-linked incentive awards. - Flexible working hours and an annual £1,000 learning budget. - Home-working equipment and additional setup support for fully remote employees.
