About this role
Role overview The Lead GTM Engineer will architect the revenue technology stack for a B2B SaaS company serving architecture and engineering practices. This is a hands-on builder role focused on connecting prospect and customer data across multiple systems, automating workflows, and driving measurable improvements in acquisition, conversion, and retention. The position is remote and works cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, and Customer Experience.
Responsibilities - Identify and prioritize GTM problems by mapping the full customer journey and quantifying revenue impact, team benefit, effort, and risk. - Connect and synchronize data across CRM, marketing automation, sales engagement, conversation intelligence, product, support, and billing systems using APIs, integrations, and automation tools. - Improve lead scoring, account matching, and prioritization using first- and third-party data, including AI-assisted research, summarization, and classification. - Design, build, test, and maintain production-grade workflows using automation platforms, SQL, and lightweight code, including failure handling, permissions, and edge cases. - Document current performance and define success metrics before launch, then track adoption and business outcomes to iterate, scale, or retire workflows. - Partner with Revenue Operations, Marketing Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, and Security teams to align on standards, lifecycle rules, and integrations.
Requirements - 4+ years of experience in GTM Engineering, RevOps, Marketing Ops, Growth Engineering, business systems, or data automation, with examples of systems personally built. - Strong working knowledge of B2B SaaS funnels, CRM administration, marketing automation, lead and account management, sales workflows, and customer retention motions. - Hands-on experience designing multi-system workflows with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Clay, n8n, Make, Zapier, Workato, or comparable platforms. - Working fluency with APIs, webhooks, JSON, SQL, data transformation, and AI-assisted scripting in Python, JavaScript, or a similar language. - Experience using LLMs or AI agents within GTM workflows, with controls for quality, privacy, errors, and human review. - Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into technical solutions, communicate tradeoffs across technical and nontechnical teams, and measure adoption and business impact rather than just shipping automations.
Nice to have - Experience with vertical SaaS, ideally architecture and engineering software.
Benefits and work setup - Remote position with an innovative engineering and product culture. - Early-stage, well-funded company with inclusion and diversity as an organizational priority. - For US-based full-time employees: 100% premium coverage on healthcare plans for employees and families, dental and vision coverage, new laptop and equipment, and a wellness stipend.
