Sr. Mobile Engineer - Upcoming Apps Portfolio (Android & iOS) (Remote)

Role overview

Join a global, AI-native product organization as a Senior Mobile Engineer leading native development across an upcoming portfolio of Android and iOS applications. This is a remote, hands-on position focused on designing, building, and optimizing user-facing experiences for consumer apps, collaborating closely with backend, product, and design to ship through rapid, continuous delivery. The work emphasizes code quality, performance, and meaningful impact for millions of end users worldwide.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain native mobile features for both Android and iOS, taking ownership end-to-end from concept through production release. - Enter unfamiliar codebases quickly, map dependencies and risks, and turn complex systems into reliable, maintainable production software. - Partner with product managers and designers to translate user needs into shipped capabilities, incorporating feedback directly from users. - Champion unit, integration, and automated testing while continuously releasing builds to both Google Play and the Apple App Store. - Use modern AI coding and agentic tools as a daily productivity multiplier for planning, implementing, reviewing, and investigating work. - Move fluidly across multiple apps, codebases, and teams as priorities shift, advocating for clarity, simplicity, and constant improvement.

Requirements

- 5+ years of professional mobile engineering experience in an agile environment shipping native apps to real end users on both Android and iOS. - Production experience with Kotlin (and Java), Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Dagger/Hilt, Retrofit, and Room on Android. - Production experience with Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit, Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, and Core Data or equivalent on iOS. - Familiarity with GitHub-based version control, pull-request workflows, SOLID/clean coding, and automation tooling such as Espresso/UI Automator and XCTest/XCUITest. - Demonstrated ability to own and evolve existing production codebases, debug systems you did not design, and work through ambiguous or under-documented areas. - Practical, day-to-day proficiency with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, including sound judgment about verifying AI-generated output.

Nice to have

- Background building agentic workflows or MCP-style tooling. - Experience with mobile analytics and experimentation platforms (Mixpanel, Firebase, feature flags, A/B testing). - Hands-on work with mobile ads, monetization SDKs, or consumer utility apps (cleaner, storage, privacy, or device optimization).
