Role overview A remote Senior Mobile Engineer role spanning native Android and iOS development within a cross-functional product pod focused on emerging consumer apps. The position starts on the team behind device-cleaning utilities and offers flexibility to move across a broader portfolio of apps as priorities evolve. The work is user-facing, product-led, and oriented toward helping users get more value from their smartphones.
Responsibilities - Build, ship, and maintain high-quality native applications on both Android and iOS for end users. - Experiment nimbly with solutions, prototype quickly, and measure outcomes against user value. - Use agentic AI coding tools as a core part of daily workflow while knowing when to verify their output. - Partner with product managers, engineers, designers, marketing, and operations to execute against the strategic roadmap. - Write maintainable, well-tested code and advocate for unit, integration, and automated testing. - Manage publishing, release pipelines, and store compliance for Google Play and the Apple App Store. - Move comfortably between apps, codebases, and pods as business priorities shift.
Requirements - 5+ years of professional mobile engineering experience in an agile environment delivering native apps on both Android and iOS. - Production Android experience with Kotlin (and Java), Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Dagger/Hilt, Retrofit, and Room. - Production iOS experience with Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit, Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, and Core Data or equivalent. - Proficiency with GitHub, pull-request workflows, and CI/CD pipelines. - Strong grasp of SOLID, clean code, and test automation using Espresso/UI Automator and XCTest/XCUITest. - Demonstrated day-to-day use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot agents, with judgment on verifying generated output before production. - Experience building large-scale systems and providing technical leadership.
Nice to have - Familiarity with mobile release pipelines such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or Xcode Cloud. - Exposure to backend stacks in Go, Python, or Node.js, or to orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Nomad. - Cloud cost optimization and FinOps awareness across multiple providers. - Compliance program experience such as SOC 2, GDPR, or CCPA.
