Role overview This is a Technical Product Manager role focused on observability, embedded within a software pipeline product organization and operating fully remote from within the United States. The position bridges product strategy and engineering, shaping the vision and delivery of monitoring, logging, and diagnostics capabilities that help users understand and troubleshoot their systems.
Responsibilities - Own and evolve the product roadmap for observability features, balancing near-term delivery with longer-term platform investments - Partner with engineering to translate operational pain points into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria - Define and prioritize work around metrics, logs, traces, and alerting based on user research and feedback - Collaborate across functions to plan launches, communicate changes, and coordinate dependencies inside the broader pipeline product area - Track product health signals such as adoption, reliability, and quality, and iterate on features accordingly - Maintain a strong technical understanding of the underlying systems to make informed trade-off decisions
Requirements - Several years of experience in technical product management, ideally on platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing software - Solid grasp of observability concepts including metrics collection, log aggregation, distributed tracing, and alerting workflows - Comfort working closely with engineers on technical design and architecture discussions - Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating between technical and business audiences - Self-directed working style suited to a remote, distributed team - Located in the United States
