Job details
About this role
Role overview
Define and run the personal banking product line at a fintech company building a single place for spending, saving, planning, and investing that customers genuinely want to use. The Head of Product owns strategy end to end, leads a team of product managers, and is accountable for growth, engagement, and overall business performance in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Build a personal banking experience so compelling that customers recommend it to friends and colleagues. - Own metrics, product strategy, and customer propositions across money management, banking, savings, investments, money movement, and future lending offerings. - Set a high craft bar across copy, latency, and empty states so the product feels inevitable rather than adequate. - Drive the use of AI in product experiences where it meaningfully improves outcomes. - Recruit and lead a high-performing product management team, instill build discipline, and develop future leaders. - Own acquisition, activation, retention, and the compounding loops that connect personal banking to the broader customer base. - Treat reliability and trust as product features, owning uptime, correctness, latency, and support outcomes. - Align product, engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, legal, marketing, support, and partners behind one cohesive strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years building consumer products, including time owning a product's growth and economics, not only its roadmap. - 5+ years leading product managers through hiring, coaching, org design, and performance management. - Experience launching and scaling 0-1 products alongside operating a large product with real customers. - Exceptional cross-functional leadership across engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, and partners. - Sound judgment in a regulated environment, balancing delightful experience with required controls.
Nice to have
- Banking, payments, or fintech experience. - Experience shipping AI-led products to real consumers with informed opinions on where AI helps and where it fails.
Benefits and work setup
