Job details
About this role
Role overview Shape the language and conversational style of AI agents and digital product experiences in a health care setting. This hands-on contract role combines AI conversation review, voice and tone guidance, and UX copywriting, working with product, engineering, clinical, and compliance partners to make member-facing content clear, useful, and appropriately empathetic. The engagement is expected to last three months, with a potential extension, at about 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities - Review AI conversations and give specific feedback on tone, emotional register, reading level, clarity, and word choice. - Establish practical voice and language principles for AI responses, accounting for the limits of language models. - Gather and prioritize feedback from clinical, product, engineering, brand, and coaching teams, helping resolve differences in language choices. - Work with clinical and engineering partners to examine conversation examples, test patterns with users, and translate findings into prompt and evaluation recommendations; engineering owns prompt configuration. - Advise on response structure, such as when an agent should offer options or ask follow-up questions. - Write and refine UX copy for member journeys, including care plans and AI introduction and onboarding, and help explain AI use and relevant disclaimers.
Requirements - Experience in both UX or product copywriting and conversational AI. - Understanding of prompting and the limitations of AI-generated responses. - Strong editorial judgment across voice, tone, taxonomy, clarity, and empathy in health-related content. - Ability to work independently and align cross-functional partners around clear language decisions. - Active authorization to work in the United States.
Benefits and work setup - Contract commitment of approximately 20 hours per week for an initial three months, with possible extension. - The listing describes hybrid work, but employee benefits listed in the source apply to full-time employees; contractors are not eligible.
