Oracle Database Administrator

Role overview Maintain and develop Oracle database and application environments, with particular emphasis on HR and payroll systems. The work combines database administration and programming with integrations, data movement, and scheduled job management. Remote candidates may be considered, with a preference for people within commuting distance of the San Antonio area.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Oracle database systems and applications. - Write Unix and shell scripts and PL/SQL programs to support database operations. - Design and build database interfaces, including ETL workflows and APIs. - Map, migrate, and validate data across complex database environments. - Manage automated jobs using Control-M and Cron. - Support Oracle E-Business Suite, especially HR and payroll modules in release 12.2.4 or later.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of relevant experience; the degree is preferably in engineering, mathematics, business, or a related field. - Professional experience working with Oracle RDBMS environments and performing Oracle system administration. - Strong Unix and shell scripting and PL/SQL skills. - Hands-on experience building database interfaces, ETL processes, and APIs. - Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite HR or payroll modules, version 12.2.4 or later. - Current Security+ certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days; must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain public trust suitability.

Nice to have - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, collaborative working style, and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
