About this role
Role overview A Customer Success Engineer is needed to own the post-sale experience for a portfolio of large enterprise and government clients using a software supply chain and AI risk platform. The role blends technical consulting, account management, and security advisory work, helping regulated organizations realize measurable value from onboarding through renewal and expansion. It reports into business operations and partners closely with sales, product, and engineering.
Responsibilities - Serve as the primary post-sale contact for enterprise and government accounts, driving onboarding, adoption, renewal, and expansion across a defined book of business. - Build relationships with security, engineering, GRC/compliance, and procurement stakeholders, mapping their goals to platform capabilities. - Help customers configure code and dependency scanning in CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability management workflows, and third-party risk programs that fit their environment. - Track account health, proactively flag churn or underutilization risks, and build remediation plans; partner with sales on expansion strategy. - Relay customer feedback into product and engineering, and produce onboarding plans, success plans, and business review materials. - Independently troubleshoot technical questions involving relational databases, REST APIs, and JSON-based artifacts such as SBOMs, AIBOMs, and cryptography BOMs in SPDX or CycloneDX formats, escalating when needed; use basic scripting and frontier AI tools to investigate issues and accelerate daily work.
Requirements - 5+ years in customer success, account management, or a similar customer-facing role supporting large enterprise clients with complex, multi-stakeholder relationships. - Experience supporting U.S. government customers, ideally federal civilian, including how agencies evaluate, procure, and operationalize software. - Track record in cybersecurity and/or SaaS customer success covering adoption, renewals, and churn reduction. - Comfort with relational databases, REST APIs, and JSON schemas at a working technical level, plus ability to write basic scripts in Python, shell, or similar. - Familiarity with software supply chain security concepts, SBOMs, AIBOMs, and standards such as SPDX and CycloneDX. - Strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills for managing multiple accounts, willingness to travel (with emphasis on the greater Washington, D.C. area), and U.S. citizenship.
Nice to have - Active security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one. - Background in vulnerability management, GRC, or third-party risk management workflows.
