Freelance Production Designer

Role overview Provide production-focused design support for presentations and educational materials, adapting existing templates and prior deliverables rather than leading conceptual design. The work includes formatting, revisions and quality checks across slide decks, conference materials and other documents. This is a part-time freelance assignment supporting multiple concurrent projects with time-sensitive review cycles.

Responsibilities - Update, assemble and format PowerPoint decks, educational content, meeting materials, digital graphics and InDesign documents. - Adapt established templates and past materials for new projects. - Apply revision requests from project, leadership and content teams accurately and promptly. - Format text, tables, charts, images and layouts to match existing standards. - Check files for consistency, completeness, accuracy and production errors before delivery. - Maintain organized versions, templates, assets and presentation files, coordinating priorities and deadlines with project leads.

Requirements - At least 3 years in production, presentation, graphic or publishing design, or a similar role. - Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills and proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop. - Strong attention to detail and document formatting and layout skills. - Experience following templates, standards and brand guidelines. - Able to organize files, manage several deadlines, communicate clearly and work independently in a remote setting. - Consistent weekday availability for communication, assignments, reviews and revisions; responsiveness and flexibility during busy periods are expected.

Benefits and work setup This is a freelance role averaging about 15–25 hours per week, typically requiring 3–5 hours of availability each weekday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Occasional evening or weekend work may be needed, and hours can rise during conference or other peak periods. Some meetings may involve other U.S. time zones.
