Data Science Engineer

Role overview This Data Science Engineer role sits within a shared Data Science Core team that supports an AI platform for the hospitality industry. The position combines hands-on internal consulting for teams without embedded data science support, maintenance of important data domains, and applied research into AI use cases. It is a remote, full-time role based in Spain, working alongside MLOps engineers and a Lead Data Scientist to take work from an initial question through to customer-facing models and AI products.

Responsibilities - Partner with internal teams to contribute data science expertise across projects, advising or building hands-on. - Build, evaluate, and ship machine learning and AI models for customer-facing use. - Take models and AI products from an initial business question through to production. - Ramp up on key data domains and provide support and maintenance when needs arise. - Research developments in advanced AI and experiment with their application in hospitality. - Collaborate with stakeholders to determine when a solution is ready for customer release.

Requirements - Proven experience in data science, with Python used to develop machine learning or AI solutions. - Hands-on experience with cloud orchestration. - Experience with generative AI. - Track record of taking machine learning models or AI products into production for customers. - Strong communication skills and experience working with stakeholders on ambiguous problems. - Ability to work independently on data science projects, with fluency in English.

Nice to have - Experience in a SaaS environment. - A consulting background delivering production-ready data science work.
