Role overview

Design and guide ServiceNow solutions for IT modernization, shaping architecture, integrations, and custom applications to improve workflows and service delivery. This remote role combines hands-on technical design with implementation leadership, security and performance oversight, and mentoring for development teams.

Responsibilities - Design scalable ServiceNow architectures aligned with business and IT needs and platform best practices. - Lead solution planning and phased implementations, with attention to performance and maintainability. - Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements and specifications; build custom applications and extend platform modules. - Integrate ServiceNow with external systems, manage data migrations, and improve workflows and system performance. - Guide code reviews, testing, release planning, documentation, and security or data governance practices. - Troubleshoot platform issues, mentor developers, and recommend improvements informed by ServiceNow updates.

Requirements - Active Secret or higher security clearance and U.S. citizenship. - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator credential and at least five years in an architecture or similar role. - Strong experience with ServiceNow integrations, custom development, troubleshooting, upgrades, and performance optimization. - Expertise with modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Security Operations, Service Catalog, or Reporting. - Knowledge of ServiceNow data models and workflows, JavaScript, REST APIs, HTML, CSS, and integration security. - Experience with Agile and DevOps practices, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently remotely.

Nice to have

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification or equivalent, experience with AWS or Azure, and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Jenkins, or GitHub.
