Performance Enablement AI/ML Intern

Role overview Support AI enablement and service performance improvement as a college intern working with an experienced technical team. Projects explore how data, lightweight automation, and generative AI can help teams understand IT service activity and operational trends, with guidance and appropriately scoped work.

Responsibilities - Help prototype small AI and automation solutions, such as tools that summarize service tickets or performance trends. - Prepare, organize, and review datasets for dashboards, reports, and AI experiments. - Try prompt approaches and simple agent workflows, document results, and suggest improvements with team guidance. - Write or update basic scripts, queries, or lightweight interfaces using familiar programming tools. - Assist with testing and troubleshooting by recording issues and validating outputs. - Join team meetings and Agile activities, share progress, and document work for colleagues.

Requirements - Current enrollment in an accredited college or university program in computer science, data science, information technology, engineering, or a related field. - U.S. citizenship. - Coursework or projects involving programming, data analysis, or AI and machine learning concepts. - Introductory experience with Python, JavaScript, or another programming language. - Interest in generative AI, automation, and IT service management, plus clear communication and willingness to learn with guidance. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance if required for the position.

Nice to have - Exposure through coursework or projects to APIs, SQL, data visualization, basic web development, large language models, prompt design, or AI-assisted development. - Experience collaborating on a student team, internship, research, or open-source project.
