About this role
Role overview
A pioneering benefits solutions company focused on employer specialty pharmacy is hiring its first Senior Solutions Architect. This pre-sales, external-facing role bridges Sales and Product, sitting alongside senior sales leaders on deals with some of the largest self-funded employers in the country. The architect translates population-level analysis into specific plan-design, activation, and implementation choices that turn projected savings into realized member outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead population-level analysis for each prospect and identify the specific levers that drive client savings and member engagement. - Recommend how the solution should be configured per client, accounting for the constraints and capabilities of different carriers, TPAs, and ASO environments. - Show multi-plan employers how the program presents as a unified experience across differing plan rules, including coordination with care navigation and onsite clinic partners. - Own the design decisions behind forecasted savings figures and secure client commitments needed to reach activation targets. - Translate market feedback into product roadmap input and build updated implementation guides for new client types or novel requests. - Present recommendations to sophisticated benefits buyers and their advisors, leading group discussions as the in-room expert.
Requirements
- 6–8+ years of experience with direct work alongside large, self-funded employers (100K+ covered lives) and their benefits teams. - Deep knowledge of the employer benefits ecosystem, including how BCBS plans, large ASO carriers, and TPAs interact and where each constrains what is operationally possible. - High attention to detail in complex implementations, with strong documentation and standardization habits. - Ability to prioritize in real time, focusing on the decisions that deliver the greatest impact. - Strong external-facing presentation and communication skills, comfortable leading group meetings with sophisticated buyers and consultants.
Nice to have
- Consulting background combined with 18+ months in an operator role at a health benefits, navigation, or care delivery company. - Familiarity with benefit design mechanics, including carve-outs, tiered network structures, and prior-authorization workflows. - Experience with specialty drugs, infusion therapy, buy-and-bill, or site-of-care programs.
Benefits and work setup
- Reports to the SVP, Growth Strategy and Operations. No individual quota, but sits squarely inside the sales motion. - Equal opportunity employer committed to building a team that reflects a diversity of perspectives, experiences, and identities.
