About this role
Role overview
A performance-focused digital organization is hiring a Lead Data Analyst, Marketing to own the reporting infrastructure that powers decision-making across credit cards, banking, personal finance, and marketplace verticals. The role is embedded directly with Yield, Paid Media, and Account Management teams, translating raw, third-party marketing data into standardized insights that move acquisition, conversion, and revenue metrics. Success means evolving from a technical executor into a trusted analytical partner who proactively surfaces trends the business has not yet seen.
Responsibilities
- Audit current dashboards and reporting consumption across assigned verticals to identify discrepancies, redundancies, and inconsistencies, then build and execute a standardization roadmap. - Partner with marketing and account teams to deliver retrospective analyses across experiments, creatives, offers, seasonality, and customer acquisition cost performance. - Architect and maintain complex LookML models (or equivalent Power BI or Tableau semantic layers) with full awareness of downstream reporting impact. - Translate how each vertical makes money and articulate the key performance levers that drive growth. - Drive adoption of standardized reporting suites and lift data literacy among stakeholders through education and self-service enablement. - Respond to ad hoc analytical requests with accuracy, business context, and a clear point of view.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years in business intelligence or analytics with direct exposure to performance or affiliate marketing. - Expert SQL skills and proven comfort extracting insights from raw, unstructured, third-party data without relying on clean upstream models. - End-to-end ownership experience spanning data pipeline through final dashboard delivery. - Advanced LookML development, or equivalent depth in Power BI or Tableau modeling. - Demonstrated ability to connect analytics directly to business levers such as campaign performance, conversion rates, and revenue per session. - Strong business curiosity and a track record of asking the right questions before pulling data.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote-first organization with a globally distributed team and a market-aligned base salary benchmarked to the nearest major metro. - Compensation package includes profit-sharing tied to company and individual performance rather than cost-of-living adjustments. - Outcome-oriented culture that measures work by impact, not activity, with direct feedback delivered respectfully. - Inclusive employer committed to equal employment opportunity and workforce diversity.
