About this role
Role overview This is a founding Product Lead role at an early-stage fintech building modern infrastructure for global money movement. The position is hands-on and individual-contributor focused today, with the expectation that the person will grow and eventually lead a product organization as the company scales. The right candidate will balance near-term shipping with long-term bets on where payment rails, regulation, and digital assets are headed over the next several years.
Responsibilities - Own and defend the product roadmap across payment corridors, rails, and platform capabilities, setting direction and prioritization for the engineering team and customers - Run discovery directly with technical buyers (integrating engineers and operators) and translate findings into precise, build-ready specifications - Shape core platform surfaces including payment orchestration, ledgering, payout and collection flows, partner integrations, and public APIs - Partner with engineering, compliance, and banking partners to turn regulatory and scheme changes into product decisions with clear tradeoffs and timelines - Scope and manage partner-facing integrations with banks and financial institutions, negotiating capability gaps and holding partners to commitments - Set the bar for how the team writes specs, runs launches, communicates roadmap, and makes decisions
Requirements - 6+ years of product experience, including senior or lead ownership of a technical product with real users - Domain expertise in at least one of: cross-border payments and FX, domestic payment rails (ACH, RTP, SEPA, SPEI, PIX, UPI, InstaPay/PESONet or equivalents), crypto and stablecoin infrastructure and on/off-ramps, treasury and ledgering, or identity, fraud, and compliance - Track record shipping API-first or developer-facing products to technical buyers - Comfort operating in regulated environments, treating compliance and legal constraints as design inputs rather than obstacles - Technical fluency sufficient to lead meetings with engineers on API specs, payment failure modes, idempotency, and reconciliation - Strong written communication for specs, decision memos, and launch notes, plus a collaborative, kind, and high-achieving mindset suited to a small, fast team
Nice to have - Background at a payments platform, PSP, money transmitter, or bank technology provider - Experience taking a product from early design partners through repeatable go-to-market - Experience hiring or building out a product function - Fluency with AI-assisted workflows and modern product and engineering tooling
Benefits and work setup - Base salary range of $175,000 to $240,000, commensurate with experience, plus meaningful early-stage equity - Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance with generous company contributions, plus a 401(k) - Unlimited PTO and 10 paid federal holidays - Flexible remote work within the United States - Equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive workplace; applicants must be authorized to work in the US
