General QA Engineer

Role overview A hybrid technology company operating a high-load telecom platform is hiring a General QA Engineer to safeguard backend quality across a microservices-based product. The role sits inside a cross-functional squad working alongside product managers, analysts, and developers, with a mix of test planning, automation, integration testing, and load testing. It is a backend-heavy generalist QA position rather than a purely manual or purely automation role.

Responsibilities - Plan, design, and execute test scenarios, then track follow-ups and report results across the telecom platform - Verify end-to-end data flow between services, databases, and message brokers rather than only checking endpoint responses - Run API and integration tests across microservices, including performance and load testing - Build and maintain automated test suites in Java or TypeScript, integrated into CI pipelines - Perform regression testing and produce clear reporting and documentation - Use mocking tools or similar to isolate dependencies and validate failure points

Requirements - 4+ years as a QA Engineer with a strong backend focus - Solid SQL skills including complex joins, aggregations, and data integrity checks - Practical Linux/UNIX command line experience for log analysis and basic bash scripting - Working knowledge of Git branching, merging, and code review - Familiarity with Postman, IntelliJ IDEA, the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Zephyr), GitLab, Jenkins, Kibana, and Grafana - Understanding of TCP, HTTP, client-server and microservices architectures, including idempotency - Intermediate or higher spoken and written English, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment

Nice to have - Telecom domain background in billing, charging, or provisioning - Hands-on experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes - Previous work on high-load systems
