About this role
Role overview Looking for a senior engineer to design and develop Software-Defined Radio (SDR) solutions for an ultra-low-latency platform used to control robots, drones, cloud machines, and remote rendering streams. The role contributes to the SDR technical strategy and collaborates with electronics designers, product teams, and systems engineers. Work spans real-time constraints where every millisecond matters, with code primarily in C, Rust, and assembly.
Responsibilities - Design and develop Software-Defined Radio solutions and contribute to the broader SDR strategy. - Implement and maintain processing pipelines under strict performance and latency constraints. - Collaborate with electronics designers and hardware teams, including work touching PCB-related concerns. - Participate in architectural decisions and long-term modem technical strategy. - Produce high-quality technical documentation and review code at a senior level. - Work with designers, product teams, and systems engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Requirements - 3 to 10 years of professional software development experience with a significant focus on SDR systems. - Strong background in SDR mathematics, including linear algebra, transforms, and projections. - Solid practical experience developing Software-Defined Radio systems. - Hands-on experience with SDR hardware and PCB-level integration. - Demonstrated work under real-time constraints, including frame budgets and latency. - Proficiency in C, Rust, and assembly, with proven ability to navigate large, existing low-level codebases. - High level of rigor, autonomy, and attention to detail, and strong motivation to solve non-trivial technical problems.
Nice to have - Background in electronics design. - Contributions to open-source projects, especially low-level or systems-oriented work.
Benefits and work setup - Full-time permanent contract based in Paris 13e, with on-site, hybrid, or full-remote options across Europe. - Market-aligned salary plus typical French benefits including health insurance and 50% transportation card reimbursement. - High autonomy in technical decisions within a small, technically focused team.
