About this role
Role overview A senior engineer is needed to design and develop real-time 3D and XR applications and core components for a low-latency remote-control platform. The work targets extremely low-latency transport for robots, drones, cloud machines, and remote rendering of interactive 3D programs, where every millisecond matters. The role spans visionOS and OpenXR-compliant experiences and contributes to long-term XR technical strategy.
Responsibilities - Design and develop real-time 3D and XR applications and core platform components. - Build and optimize XR experiences for visionOS and OpenXR-compliant platforms. - Implement and maintain rendering pipelines under strict performance and latency constraints. - Work with spatial tracking, world mapping, hand tracking, and device sensors. - Optimize frame rate, memory usage, and power consumption on XR hardware. - Integrate 3D engines, native SDKs, and platform-specific APIs, and debug complex rendering, synchronization, and spatial alignment issues. - Collaborate with designers, product teams, and systems engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions and long-term XR strategy. - Produce high-quality technical documentation and perform senior-level code reviews.
Requirements - 5 to 10 years of professional software development experience with a significant focus on 3D/XR systems programming. - Strong real-time 3D mathematics background, including linear algebra, transforms, and projections. - Solid experience developing Augmented Reality or XR applications. - Strong knowledge of visionOS and its spatial computing paradigms, plus practical OpenXR experience across runtimes and extensions. - Deep understanding of render loops, shaders, and GPU/CPU synchronization. - Fluency in C++, Swift, and Objective-C for visionOS and Apple platforms, plus C# for Unity or engine tooling; Rust is a strong plus for performance-critical work. - Experience with Metal, Vulkan, or DirectX, and AR frameworks such as ARKit or equivalent.
Nice to have - Experience with mixed reality or spatial UI design. - Contributions to open-source 3D, XR, or graphics projects.
Benefits and work setup - Full-time permanent contract based in Paris 13e, with on-site, hybrid, or full-remote options across Europe. - Market-aligned salary plus typical French benefits including health insurance and 50% transportation card reimbursement. - High autonomy in technical decisions and ownership over technically challenging real-time systems. - Technical interview process focused on problem-solving and engineering depth.
