Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Role overview Design, build and support web applications, business portals, APIs and automation solutions used in clients’ day-to-day operations. You’ll take features from understanding requirements and technical planning through implementation, deployment and ongoing support, working across the front end, back end and database. The role is suited to an engineer with 4–6 years of professional web application experience who can deliver independently and communicate with clients and teammates.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain applications and APIs with React, Next.js, Node.js and TypeScript, including responsive interfaces. - Turn client needs into technical designs, estimates and working features; help assess feasibility and scope projects. - Develop REST API integrations with external services, payment systems and relational databases while preserving data integrity. - Implement authentication, role-based access and secure data handling. - Write and review maintainable code, add unit and integration tests, and document technical decisions. - Deploy, monitor and support live systems; investigate issues and improve performance in coordination with clients and the team.

Requirements - 4–6 years of professional experience developing web applications. - Strong hands-on skills in React, Next.js, Node.js and TypeScript, plus JavaScript, HTML, CSS and responsive design. - Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. - Understanding of authentication, authorisation and application security. - Experience with Git, code review and deployment to cloud or managed hosting; able to troubleshoot across application layers. - Ability to own features, meet agreed timelines and communicate clearly in client and team discussions. A relevant computer science or IT qualification, or equivalent practical experience, is expected.

Nice to have - Advanced SQL, query optimisation or database design; mobile development with React Native or similar. - Docker, CI/CD, AWS or Azure experience; integrating AI APIs or building automation workflows. - Experience delivering projects for external clients in an IT services setting.
