Senior Fullstack Engineer, Mortgage Fulfillment AI
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Build and operate production-grade AI agents that move mortgage fulfillment work from application toward funding with fewer manual handoffs. This individual-contributor role centers on agent design, evaluation systems, and the infrastructure needed to run agents reliably in a regulated environment. It calls for end-to-end technical ownership, from architecture and measurement through production operation.
Responsibilities - Design multi-step agents to coordinate workflows such as document collection, condition clearing, and closing activities. - Build evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, reliability, and task completion, then use results to improve prompts, models, and fallback behavior. - Develop and operate agent infrastructure for model serving, prompt pipelines, batching, queues, and observability. - Build dependable integrations with mortgage platforms, reading workflow state and writing updates within their technical constraints. - Work with operations, platform engineering, and system administrators to refine requirements and deliver incrementally. - Promote strong practices in testing, measurement, observability, incident response, code review, and design.
Requirements - A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent education and experience. - 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating reliable, scalable services in cloud environments. - Experience owning an AI or ML system in production from design and launch through measurement and iteration, with accountability for correctness, cost, and reliability. - Hands-on experience in at least two areas spanning evaluation pipelines, agent infrastructure, model serving, or related AI system operations. - Ability to make and explain architectural tradeoffs, and to collaborate with technical and operational partners.
