Job details
About this role
Role overview We are hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer to serve as a strategic technical partner to prospects and customers across the full sales lifecycle. Combining technical depth with business acumen, you will own the technical strategy for assigned opportunities, from discovery and solution design through demonstration, technical validation, and expansion. The role is hands-on: you will lead discovery, build and deliver tailored demonstrations, design solutions, and drive evaluations independently, engaging specialist resources when deeper expertise accelerates a deal.
Responsibilities - Lead structured discovery to surface business priorities, workflows, data environments, constraints, and measurable success criteria, then translate them into defined use cases and technical requirements. - Develop the technical strategy for opportunities alongside the account team, including stakeholder engagement, competitive differentiation, evaluation plans, and win criteria. - Build and deliver compelling, customized demonstrations that reflect the customer's environment and business outcomes rather than generic feature presentations. - Run workshops, solution design sessions, prototypes, and proofs of concept to advance customer confidence and decision-making. - Maintain accurate technical context, evaluation status, and win criteria in Salesforce, and surface customer, competitive, and market insights back to Product, Engineering, and Marketing. - Create reusable demonstrations, discovery approaches, architectures, workflows, and field assets that strengthen the broader solutions team.
Requirements - 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, technical consulting, or a comparable customer-facing role in enterprise software. - Demonstrated ability to lead discovery, design solutions, deliver compelling demonstrations, and guide complex technical evaluations. - Strong understanding of modern data and analytics concepts: data integration, transformation, ETL/ELT, analytics, automation, machine learning, and AI. - Familiarity with SQL and at least one analytical or programming environment such as Python or R. - Working knowledge of enterprise SaaS and cloud architecture, including APIs, authentication, SSO/identity, security, governance, and integration patterns. - Growing fluency with modern AI and GenAI architectures, including LLMs, AI providers, retrieval and data access patterns, agents, governance, and responsible AI considerations. - Strong business acumen, executive communication, and the ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder buying processes. - Comfort operating autonomously and prioritizing across multiple opportunities in a matrixed organization.
Nice to have - Hands-on experience with analytics platforms such as Alteryx, Dataiku, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar. - Experience selling or supporting enterprise SaaS, analytics, data, automation, or AI platforms. - Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and supporting enterprise security, architecture, or AI-governance conversations. - Familiarity with structured discovery, qualification, and value-selling methodologies.
Benefits and work setup - 401(k) matching. - Flexible working hours and a remote-friendly working environment. - Learning and development support, including training, online learning resources, and conference attendance. - Employee referral program and regular team events across an international organization.
