About this role
Role overview A senior-level individual contributor position focused on building and maintaining the tooling, processes, and environments that enable efficient, secure software delivery. The role spans both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, with an emphasis on automation, container orchestration, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code to support reliability, availability, and security goals across the platform.
Responsibilities - Lead the design and rollout of infrastructure automation and deployment processes for production environments. - Architect and operate scalable containerization and orchestration platforms for application workloads. - Drive continuous improvements to CI/CD pipelines to shorten release cycles and improve developer experience. - Monitor and enhance system performance, availability, and security posture through proactive measures. - Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to refine automation, release, and deployment strategies. - Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent, reproducible environments. - Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting skill growth across the team.
Requirements - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - 4+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or IT infrastructure roles. - Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration, with particular expertise in Kubernetes. - Strong understanding of scripting, version control, and modern infrastructure best practices. - Demonstrated ability to optimize and scale CI/CD pipelines in production settings. - Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to lead complex, cross-team initiatives.
Nice to have - Hands-on experience with virtualization, hypervisors, and hybrid cloud/on-prem architectures. - Familiarity with technologies such as Azure, AKS, OpenShift, GitLab, ArgoCD, Artifactory, and Ansible. - Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams.
