Role overview

A founding go-to-market role at an early-stage AI infrastructure company building web-scale search and retrieval primitives that make continuously growing knowledge accessible to AI models. The position owns the technical win with frontier AI labs and inference platforms, getting the product running inside customer stacks and turning proof-of-value into recurring usage. It is a high-autonomy, results-oriented startup seat embedded directly with research and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

- Lead technical evaluations with AI labs and inference platforms, building relationships with the researchers and ML engineers who assess web search and retrieval infrastructure - Stand up end-to-end demos and integrations inside the customer's own stack, including agents, eval harnesses, and model tool calls, and show results on their queries - Scope and run pilots to a clear verdict, holding timelines, clearing technical objections, and handing a sized deal to the Head of Revenue or closing it directly when terms are standard - Own the platform channel, including integrations with inference platforms, agent frameworks, and resellers, and run the self-serve funnel that converts usage into accounts - Relay feedback from labs and platforms back to product and engineering, and translate it into the demos and materials the next prospect sees

Requirements

- Track record of winning technical evaluations with labs, platforms, or infrastructure teams where benchmarks or pilots closed deals with measurable results - Hands-on ability to build a demo independently, comfortable calling APIs, wiring agents or evals, and presenting the outcome to a researcher without waiting on engineering support - Conversational fluency with research scientists and ML engineers, with working knowledge of latency, recall, freshness, and cost trade-offs in retrieval systems - Familiarity with the AI lab and inference landscape, including who trains and serves frontier models, which frameworks agents run on, and who competes for the same query workload - Genuine mission alignment with making the world's knowledge accessible to agents
